For this reason, we must ensure that older persons are treated with dignity, respect, and compassion. They deserve to live healthy, safe, active, and meaningful lives. They should have opportunities to participate in society, to share their knowledge, and to continue making valuable contributions to their communities.
Ladies and gentlemen,
Caring for older people is not only a responsibility. It is also an expression of gratitude. The people who cared for us when we were young deserve our care and attention as they grow older.
